The kennels

As you will see in our photos, our kennel runs are indoor/outdoor.   The indoor section is heated, cooled, and ventilated. Washer/dryer onsite for cleaning new mothers bedding regularly.  Non - slip rubber flooring for their
safety, and my easy cleaning.   dog wash station, and cabinetry for supplies  soon to come.  The outdoor sections are partially under roof for inclement weater.   They all have their own hose spigot for easy, frequent cleaning.   When out of the kennel they have 2 fenced acres to roam and play.

Our 4 legged kids

Yes, they can be like kids, always in need of your love and support.   But, the rewards can be incredible.   We have a unique blend of  U.S., Swedish, and Venetian lines in our Springers, which includes both field and non field.   We like a little "non-field" in our dogs for one reason, keeping down the hyper attitude.   We firmly beleive that a field dog should also be your best bud.   This is hard to acheive if the dog is to hyper to be inside the house, or around the family.   If also your pet, the mutual bond of love, and respect that grows from this will make them want to perform for you that much more in the field.
With the addition of the latest girls our diversity expands. Desi is from strong U.S. field lines. Sal adds top rated field lines from Europe. Her Grandparents on one side are out of Germany, and the other side out of Poland / Italy (non venetian field).
The Venetian lines of the Springer come out of Italy.  I have read that they were originally bred waterfowl retrievers, but have been told mine are of bench stock.   I think this is where are puppies get their retrieving ability from, or it could just be Springer typical.   Most of our pups retrieve without being taught from day one.   Many know the venetian bred Springers as "lowriders" due to their shorter legs.   They are also known for a narrower head, and big paws.
We are currently trying to gain a better knowledge of the Swedish bred Springers.   As I understand it for now, they are rather large for the breed, and longer coated than most field dogs.   I think this is where are boy Scrappy gets his incredibly large chest, head, and paws. I got to meet his Swedish bred grandfather, biggest springer I've ever seen.
In the photos below you will see that some are longer coated than others.   In some cases they have been cut back for the field, or motherhood.   Woody, Sal, and Desi are very soft coated like a rabbit.   Scrappy has a more coarse coat from His mother Belle who was strong in the "Venetian Lines".
